| This club was established in 1991 at The Lawns, Portswood
Ridge, Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, under the auspices of the V&A company. Three
sets of hoops, 6 sets of balls, twelve mallets and three centre pegs were generously
provided. The croquet equipment was kept in a small clubhouse and a larger clubhouse
was used for entertainment. The elevated site provides a superb view over
the Waterfront.
Three small courts were first set out; now we have two courts, both of which are
just under full size. The courts maintenance is controlled by the V&A company and
we are very grateful to them for their assistance.
Mr. Ian Gillespie, Mr. David Jack and Ms S Ozinsky assisted by others were
instrumental in establishing the Waterfront Croquet Club. We currently have
fifteen members.
